Handmade laser cut Maple wood Mele Kalikimaka Christmas Ornament is triple layered for a 3D effect. My process takes several days to make this beautiful quality ornament that will retain its beauty for years to come. I start by staining the top layer in a natural wood color. I use high quality artist paint on the second and third layers. The second layer gets three coats of paint as do the detail pieces. The back layer is hand painted in various shades of blue and white that can resemble waves, the sky, the earth, a moonlight scene, making each ornament an original as no two ornaments are ever the same. I then seal the completed ornament.
The ornament measures 4.75" in height, 4.5" in width and 3/8" in width.
